  • RBI policy outcome, macro data to dictate trend

    The outcome of the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) monetary policy meeting, trend in global markets, investment by foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) and domestic institutional investors (DIIs), the movement of rupee against the dollar and crude oil price movement will dictate trend on the bourses in the truncated week ahead. India's stock market remains shut on Monday, 2 October 2017 on account of Gandhi Jayanti.

    Shares of automobile companies will be watched as these companies start unveiling their monthly sales numbers for September starting 1 October 2017.

    Godrej Agrovet, promoted by Godrej Industries is coming up with an initial public offer aggregating upto Rs 291.51 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) by Godrej Industries aggregating upto Rs 300 crore and upto 1.23 crore equity shares by V-Sciences Investments Pte. The price band for the IPO has been fixed at Rs 450-460 per share. The IPO opens on 4 October and closes on 6 October 2017.

    MAS Financial Services is coming up with an initial public offer (IPO) aggregating to Rs 460.04 crore comprising of a fresh issue of shares by the company aggregating up to Rs 233 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of shares aggregating up to Rs 227.04 crore by the selling shareholders. The price band for the IPO has been fixed at Rs 456-459 per share. The issue opens on 6 October and closes on 10 October 2017.

    Among economic data, India's infrastructure output data for the month of August 2017 is slated to release after market hours on Friday, 29 September 2017. Its impact may be seen on the domestic bourses on Tuesday, 3 October 2017.

    Markit Economics will unveil the result of a monthly survey on the performance of India's manufacturing sector in September 2017 at 10:30 IST on Tuesday, 3 October 2017.

    The Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) bimonthly monetary policy decision is slated at 14:30 IST on Wednesday, 4 October 2017. The central bank had cut policy repo rate by 25 basis points to 6% after its last monetary policy meeting in August, reducing the key policy rates for the first time in this fiscal year.

    Markit Economics will unveil the result of a monthly survey on the performance of India's services sector in September 2017 at 10:30 IST on Thursday, 5 October 2017.

    Among global data, eurozone Markit PMI Composite data for September is slated to release on Monday, 2 October 2017. Eurozone retail sales data for the month of August will be announced on Wednesday, 4 October 2017. US nonfarm payrolls data for the month of September will be released on Friday, 6 October 2017.
