The Buildings and Factories (B&F) Business of L&T Construction has
recently secured EPC orders in India. The Business has secured orders from a reputed developer to construct Commercial Towers at two locations in Mumbai. According to company's project classification, the orders are classified 'Significant' and valued between Rs 1000 crore to Rs 2500 crore.
Tallest Commercial Building in India (300.05m high):
The scope of the work includes four-level basements and 2 towers of 70 floors & 50 floors respectively with combined BUA of 3.4 million Sqft. The towers are to be done in forty months.
Large Commercial Building of 5.1 million Sqft:
The scope of the work includes four-level basements and 2 Towers of 19 floors each with combined BUA of 5.1 million Sqft. The towers are to be done in thirty-five months.

The Power Transmission & Distribution Business of Larsen & Toubro
has achieved important milestones for the Power Elements and Grid packages of the world's largest green hydrogen plant being built by NEOM Green Hydrogen Company.
Located at Oxagon in Saudi Arabia's region of NEOM, NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) is an equal joint-venture by ACWA Power, Air Products and NEOM.
NGHC is setting up a mega plant to produce green hydrogen at-scale for global export in the form of green ammonia with a total investment of USD 8.4 billion. Supported by 23 local, regional, and international banking and financial institutions, the project has now achieved
full financial close and construction is moving forward.
A few quarters back, L&T received the nod to establish the Renewable Energy Generation, Storage and Grid infrastructure, from Air Products, the system-integrating EPC Contractor and exclusive off-taker of green ammonia to be produced from the project.
The value of the packages awarded to L&T aggregate to USD 2.779 billion. Since then, significant progress has been achieved in various activities including surveys, design & engineering, establishment of temporary facilities and procurement of long lead items.
Under these contracts, L&T will engineer, procure, and construct a 2.2 GWac PV Solar Plant, 1.65 GW Wind Generation Balance of Plant and a 400 MWh Battery Energy Storage System under the Power Elements package. It will also construct 3 Nos of 380 kV Switching Stations,
306 KM of 380 kV Overhead lines and UG Cables required to the Kingdom's Grid network.
The scope also includes the Energy Power Monitoring System (EPMS) for the complete network.

Larsen & Toubro announced the formation of L&T Green Energy Council, a think-tank comprising of eminent thought leaders, in a significant step towards building a global green energy business.
The council will be responsible for identifying technology trends in green energy, analysing the evolving global policy developments, evaluate emerging business models and advise on collaborations.
The four eminent Industry stalwarts forming the L&T Green Energy Council comprise of:
Prof. Eicke R. Weber, a global authority on renewable energy technologies, currently serves as the Co-President of the European Solar Manufacturing Council. Additionally, he holds the honorary position of President of the German Energy Storage Association.
Bart Biebuyck is one of the leading global thought leaders in the green hydrogen economy. Until recently, he held the position of Executive Director of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, a prestigious public-private partnership between the European Commission, Hydrogen Europe, and
Hydrogen Europe Research. Now he helps to realize various huge hydrogen production facilities around the world as well as supporting countries to get to their decarbonization targets through building hydrogen ecosystems.
Prof. Dr. Christopher Hebling is the director of Hydrogen Technologies at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, one of the leading global research institutes on renewable energy technologies in Germany. Additionally, he is the delegate on behalf of Germany in the
Executive Committee of the Technology Collaboration Program (TCP) for the Generation and Utilization of Hydrogen of the International Energy Agency, IEA. Furthermore, he is the Co-Chair of the board of the National Organization Hydrogen and Fuel Cells, NOW.
Prof. Patrice Simon is one of the world's foremost technology leaders in the field of electrochemical materials. He currently holds the position of Distinguished Professor at the Université Paul Sabatier, and he is a member of French Academy of Sciences. He also leads the French program on batteries for CNRS. Prof. Simon was the former Director of European Research Institute ‘Alistore ERI'.

The Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) Business of L&T Construction has recently secured EPC orders in India and overseas. According to company's project classification, the orders are classified as Large order ranging in value between Rs 2500 crore and Rs 5000 crore.
In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), the Business has secured two orders to establish 380kV overhead power transmission lines connecting prominent cities situated on the Red Sea coast. These systems will strengthen projects that involve 400KM of transmission lines to
meet the growing demand in these industrial and tourism hubs.
Another order has been secured to design, supply, and construct a 380kV substation in the central region of KSA. The substation will be a crucial element to evacuate renewable capacity as part of the Kingdom's diversification to non-fossil fuel sources in their electricity
mix.
Further, in the domestic market, the Business continued its winning streak in the Revamped Reforms Based and Results-Linked Distribution Sector (RDSS) Scheme projects with fresh orders from a prominent Gujarat DISCOM. The scope of work involves modernization and
development of distribution infrastructure in three districts of Gujarat's southern region.
The projects are expected to usher in a more efficient and resilient distribution network in
these districts including that in AMRUT towns.

The Buildings & Factories (B&F) Business of Larsen & Toubro (L&T)
Construction has recently secured EPC orders in India. As per the company's classification, the orders are classified as significant ranging in value between Rs 1000 crore and Rs 2500 crore.
The Business has won an order from a reputed developer to construct residential towers in Thane, Mumbai. The scope of the work includes construction of core and shell works for 5 towers comprising ground, 5 podiums, 54 floors and allied parking areas. The project is to be executed within stringent timelines.
Further, B&F Fast, one of the verticals of the Business, has secured an order from a prestigious client to construct commercial office space in Bengaluru with an approximate built-up area of 16 lakhs sq. ft. The scope of work includes civil works for the composite structure, warm shell
finishes to construct 3B+G+15 floors. The project is scheduled to be completed in 18 months.

The Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) Business of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction has recently secured EPC orders in India and overseas. According to the company's project classification, the value of these orders ranges between Rs 1000 crore to Rs 2500 crore.
Under the umbrella of the Reforms-based Results-linked Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), distribution utilities in the country have taken up various modernization measures to improve operational efficiency and financial sustainability. To significantly reduce the Aggregate Technical & Commercial (AT&C) losses at pan-India level is an important objective of the scheme towards which, the discoms undertake several distribution infrastructure improvements such as segregating feeders, reconductoring, cabling, augmenting line networks and elements, geotagging of assets, etc.
The Business has secured orders to develop distribution infrastructure in two discom circles of western Rajasthan.
The Business has also bagged a power supply system order for the second phase of Chennai Metro. The scope includes Design, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Receiving Substations (RSS), Auxiliary Substations (ASS) and SCADA system for the northern sections of Corridors 3 & 5. The 110kV Gas Insulated Receiving Substations get incoming supply from the Grid and feed power supply to the traction and station requirements. 33kV Auxiliary Substations interconnected through 33kV cable system feed the auxiliary loads of metro stations such as lighting, ventilation, lifts etc. Related Control & Protection systems are also included in the scope.
Further, In the overseas market, the PT&D Business has won an order to supply, construct, test, and commission a 132kV substation in the United Arab Emirates

Larsen & Toubro has received the third balance payment (final) today for the 18,000 partly paid up Non-convertible Debentures (NCDs) issued and allotted on 23 April 2020. Effective today, the said debentures are fully paid-up with face value of Rs. 10 lakhs each.
