05-May-2021 Maruti Suzuki India achieved total production of 159,955 units in April 2021. There was no production in April 2020 due to Covid-19 related lockdown.
01-May-2021 Maruti Suzuki India posted total sales of 159,691 units in April 2021. Total sales in the month include domestic sales of 137,151 units, sales to other OEMs 5,303 units and exports of 17,237 units. Since April 2020 had lockdown due to COVID19 and almost zero sales, a comparison with April 2020 doesn't have any meaning.
30-Apr-2021 Maruti Suzuki India announced that all variants of Super Carry have been upgraded to new version of RPAS system. The revised Ex-showroom price applicable in Delhi shall vary from Rs 4,48,000/- to Rs 5,46,000/-. The same is effective from today i.e. 30 April, 2021.
28-Apr-2021 Maruti Suzuki India announced that as part of the car manufacturing process, Maruti Suzuki uses a small amount of oxygen in its factories while relatively much larger quantities are used by the manufacturers of components. In the current situation, the company believes that all available oxygen should be used to save lives. Accordingly, Maruti Suzuki has decided to advance its maintenance shutdown, originally scheduled for June, to 1 to 9 May. Production in all factories will close for maintenance during this period. The Company has been informed that Suzuki Motor Gujarat has taken the same decision for its factory.
27-Apr-2021 Maruti Suzuki India announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on 27 April 2021, has recommended a Final dividend of Rs.45 per share (i.e.900%), subject to the approval of the shareholders.
16-Apr-2021 Maruti Suzuki India is increasing the price for select models owing to increase in various input costs. The weighted average price increase in Ex-Showroom Prices (Delhi) across models is 1.6%. The new prices are effective from today i.e. 16 April 2021.
02-Apr-2021 Suzuki Motor Gujarat, a 100% subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation for production of automobiles in India, has completed construction of the Plant C, and started production from April 2021. Suzuki established SMG in March 2014, aiming to secure production ability in preparation for the automobile market growth in India, as well as for expansion of exports from India. The Plant A started operating in February 2017, and the Plant B and Powertrain Plant in January 2019. In October 2020, SMG became the fastest production site of Suzuki to achieve accumulated automobile production of 1 million units. With production starting at the Plant C, which has an annual production ability of 250,000 units, together with Plant A and Plant B, the total ability of SMG will be 750,000 units. Together with Maruti Suzuki's production ability of 1.5 million units, Suzuki's production ability of automobiles in India will be 2.25 million units. All automobiles that will be produced in SMG will be supplied to Maruti Suzuki.
01-Apr-2021 Maruti Suzuki India achieved total sales of 167,014 units in month of March 2021 compared to 83,792 units in March 2020. Domestic sales (Domestic + OEM) stood at 155,417 units and exports were at 11,597 units in March 2021. For the financial year 2021, the Company posted a total sales of 1,457,861 units, which is 6.7% lower than FY 2019-20. Total sales in the year include domestic sales of 1,323,396 units, sales to other OEMs of 38,326 units and exports of 96,139 units.
22-Mar-2021 Maruti Suzuki India announced that over the past year the cost of company's vehicles has been impacted adversely due to increase in various input costs. Hence, it has become imperative for the company to pass on some impact of the above additional cost to customers through a price increase in April, 2021. This price increase shall vary for different models
05-Mar-2021 Maruti Suzuki India achieved production of 168,180 units in February 2021 compared to 140,933 units in February 2020.
