Hero MotoCorp sold 356,690 units in January 2023 as compared to 380,476 units in January 2022.
The company sold in domestic market 349,437 units in January 2023 compared to 358,660 units in January 2022. Exports stood at 7,253 units in January 2023 compared to 21,816 units in January 2022.
Total sales comprised of motorcycle sales of 333,638 units and scooter sales of 23,052 units.
The company expects the demand to build-up in the festive and marriage season in the latter
part of the month, post the commencement of the auspicious period.

VIDA, Powered by Hero, the emerging mobility brand of Hero MotoCorp, has commenced customer deliveries of the VIDA V1 scooter in Delhi from today.
The VIDA V1 is now available for customers across Bengaluru, Jaipur and Delhi. Each of the three cities have witnessed encouraging customer response. The brand is planning rapid expansion of its sales and charging network across multiple cities.
VIDA has Experience Centers in Bengaluru and Jaipur, and pop-up stores in Delhi-NCR, where customers can test-ride the Vida V1.
The highly customizable, Built-to-Last VIDA V1, with convenient removable batteries and three way charging options, is available in two variants – VIDA V1 Plus at Rs. 128,000/- and VIDA V1 Pro at Rs. 139,000/-, price includes all connected features, portable charger and charging service. Hero MotoCorp sold more than 40.58 lakh units in the first three quarters of the Financial Year 2022- 23 (April - December). This translates into a growth of 8% over the corresponding period in the previous fiscal (FY'22), when it had sold 37.55 lakh units.
The company dispatched 394,179 units of motorcycles and scooters in the month of December 2022.
The upcoming marriage and festive season in many parts of the country, and with the continuously improving consumer sentiment on account of favorable macro-economic indicators, the company expects a positive momentum to build up from the fourth quarter onwards.

Niranjan Gupta, currently Chief Financial Officer (CFO), has been given the additional charge of heading Strategy and M&A for the company. Niranjan has been the CFO for the past six years, ensuring strong financial shape and cash flows of the company and playing a key role in business decisions.

The price increase will be up to Rs 1500 and the exact quantum of increase will vary by specific models and markets.
