JSW Energy

Good operating show


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of JSW Energy for the quarter ended Dec 2023 has increased 13.11% to Rs 2542.77 crore.  Operating profit margin has jumped from 27.80% to 43.68%, leading to 77.75% rise in operating profit to Rs 1,110.79 crore.  Purchase of finished goods cost fell from 1.01% to 0.16%.   Employee cost decreased from 3.75% to 3.65%.   Other expenses fell from 67.44% to 52.51%.   Power and Oil fuel cost fell from 59.09% to 41.84%.  


Strong operating show was driven by incremental contribution from renewable portfolio and strong thermal performance, largely driven by a buoyant merchant market.

Other income rose 16.73% to Rs 118.64 crore.  PBIDT rose 69.21% to Rs 1229.43 crore.  Provision for interest rose 143.72% to Rs 520.82 crore.  PBDT rose 38.17% to Rs 708.61 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 35.53% to Rs ...
