The Indian Aluminium consumption is at CAGR of 10% in last 5 years. The demand is expected to grow at a CAGR range of 6.3 to 7.2% till 2030.
The aluminium consumption pattern is as follows – Electrical 48%, Transportation & Automobile 15%, Building & Construction 13%, Consumer Durables 7%, machinery & equipments 7%, packaging 4% and others 6%.
India’s aluminium consumption has consistently outpaced domestic production, rising sharply from 3.41 MT in 2020–21 to a projected 5.52 MT in 2024–25. This growing demand-supply gap highlights increasing reliance on imports and scrap, signaling strong industrial momentum.
