Capital Market News NCDEX Chana futures slumped today as traders factored in a sharp spurt in ongoing harvest. The latest reports from Agricultural Ministry suggest that rabi pulses acreage surged by around 28% to nearly 82.59 lh. Of this, area under Chana or gram rose by 30% to 57.44 lh. This is auguring very well for the Chana production in coming months. Meanwhile, the benchmark NCDEX Chana futures for December lost 1.31% to close at Rs 5213 per quintal. The counter had edged up near Rs 5300 per quintal mark in last session before pulling back.
