Considerable rebound in domestic demand for Gears

Elecon Engineering Company hosted a conference call on April 25, 2025. In the conference call the company was represented by Prayasvin B. Patel, Chairman & Managing Director.

Key takeaways of the call

Order Book as at 31st March 2025 stands at Rs 948 crore (vs. Rs 796 crore as at 31st March 2024) of which MHE orders is Rs 365 crore (up 40.4%yoy) and balance RS 583 crore (up 8.8%yoy) is that for Gears.

Order intake of gears stood at Rs 497 crore (up 20.6%yoy) and Rs 1794 crore (up 12.1%) for Q4FY25 and FY25 respectively.  Order intake of MHE stood at Rs 148 crore (up 2.8%yoy) and Rs 586 crore (up 49.1%) for Q4FY25 and FY25 respectively.

FY25 revenue was in line with its annual guidance of Rs 2225 crore.

In Q4FY25, the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) division saw a remarkable 98.2% year-on-year revenue growth. EBIT margin stood at 29.6% with an improvement of ~820 bps Y-o-Y prim...
