Hyderabad plant to start commercial production by end of August 2024


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Astral has increased 7.83% to Rs 1383.6 crore.  Sales of Plumbing segment rose 7.98% to Rs 1,013.20 crore (accounting for 73.23% of total sales).  Sales of Paints and Adhesives segment has gone up 7.42% to Rs 370.40 crore (accounting for 26.77% of total sales). 

Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 3.30% to Rs 166.00 crore.  PBIT of Plumbing segment rose 10.41% to Rs 140.00 crore (accounting for 84.34% of total PBIT).  PBIT of Paints and Adhesives segment fell 23.30% to Rs 26.00 crore (accounting for 15.66% of total PBIT). 

PBIT margin of Plumbing segment rose from 13.51% to 13.82%.  PBIT margin of Paints and Adhesives segment fell from 9.83% to 7.02%.  Overall PBIT margin f...
