Net sales up 12% YoY to Rs 2454 crore in Q1FY2026


'On consolidated basis

Quarter ended June 2025 compared with Quarter ended June 2024.

Net sales (including other operating income) of Birla Corporation has increased 12.05% to Rs 2454.22 crore.  Sales of Cement segment has gone up 10.39% to Rs 2,341.86 crore (accounting for 95.38% of total sales).  Sales of Jute segment has gone up 62.86% to Rs 112.47 crore (accounting for 4.58% of total sales).  Sales of Others segment rose 59.68% to Rs 0.99 crore (accounting for 0.04% of total sales).  Inter-segment sales rose Rs 0.70 crore to Rs 1.10 crore.  

Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 74.10% to Rs 241.01 crore.  PBIT of Cement segment rose 64.58% to Rs 237.31 crore (accounting for 98.46% of total PBIT).  PBIT of Jute reported profit of Rs 4.72 crore compared to loss of Rs 5.19 crore.  PBIT of Others segment fel...
