Sales up 3%, net up 4%

Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of LMW has increased 3.15% to Rs 694.14 crore.  Operating profit margin has jumped from 1.97% to 1.98%, leading to 3.85% rise in operating profit to Rs 13.75 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 62.90% to 62.48%.   Employee cost increased from 13.40% to 13.71%.   Other expenses rose from 21.81% to 21.87%.   Other income rose 24.41% to Rs 36.6 crore.  PBIDT rose 18.03% to Rs 50.35 crore.  Provision for interest remained nil.  PBDT rose 18.03% to Rs 50.35 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 11.81% to Rs 29.53 crore.  Profit before tax grew 28.12% to Rs 20.82 crore.  EO Exp was Rs 1.29 crore against nil.  Thus PBT after EO was up 20% to RS 19.53 crore.   Provision for tax was expense of Rs 8.06 crore, compared to Rs 5.23 crore.  Effective t...
