Sales up 8%, OP down 2%


'Net sales (including other operating income) of NMDC has increased 7.94% to Rs 7004.59 crore.  Sales of Iron Ore segment has gone down 1.19% to Rs 6,350.49 crore (accounting for 90.56% of total sales).  Sales of Peliet,Other Minerals & Services segment has gone up 966.65% to Rs 662.07 crore (accounting for 9.44% of total sales). 

Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 2.68% to Rs 2,433.09 crore.  PBIT of Iron Ore segment fell 0.74% to Rs 2,451.29 crore (accounting for 100.75% of total PBIT).  PBIT of Peliet,Other Minerals & Services segment rose 81.78% to Rs -18.20 crore (accounting for -0.75% of total PBIT).
