Sales up 5%, net up 23%


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of NTPC has increased 4.63% to Rs 49833.7 crore.  Operating profit margin has jumped from 29.37% to 34.21%, leading to 21.87% rise in operating profit to Rs 17,050.03 crore.  Employee cost increased from 3.90% to 4.02%.   Other expenses rose from 66.28% to 66.37%.   Power and Oil fuel cost fell from 52.76% to 49.99%.   Other direct service cost rose from 2.92% to 3.15%.   Other income rose 5.30% to Rs 1251.35 crore.  PBIDT rose 20.58% to Rs 18301.38 crore.  Provision for interest rose 23.44% to Rs 3648.04 crore.  Loan funds rose to Rs 250,096.15 crore as of 31 March 2025 from Rs 237,130.98 crore as of 31 March 2024.  Inventories rose to Rs 18,722.26 crore as of 31 March 2025 from Rs 18,019.12 crore as of 31 March 2024.  Sundry debtors were higher at Rs 34,720.30 crore as of 31 March 2025 compared to Rs 33,349.68 crore as o...
