Net sales (including other operating income) of Nuvoco Vistas Corporation has
increased 3.71% to Rs 3042.25 crore. Sales of Cement segment has
gone up 5.09% to Rs 2,792.80 crore (accounting for 91.10% of total
sales). Sales of Ready Mix conrete and Others segment has gone down
8.87% to Rs 272.77 crore (accounting for 8.90% of total sales). Inter-segment
sales came down from Rs 23.47 crore to Rs 23.32 crore.
Profit before interest,
tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 21.72% to Rs 331.98
crore. PBIT of Cement segment rose 27.75% to Rs 321.93 crore
(accounting for 96.97% of total PBIT). PBIT of Ready Mix conrete and
Others segment fell 51.54% to Rs 10.05 crore (accounting for 3.03% of total
PBIT).
