Polycab India

Sales up 30%, but net up 3% hit by 300 bps fall in OPM

Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Polycab India for the quarter ended Sep 2024 has increased 30.37% to Rs 5498.42 crore.  Operating profit margin has declined from 14.44% to 11.49%, leading to 3.71% rise in operating profit to Rs 631.55 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 71.00% to 65.31%.   Purchase of finished goods cost fell from 3.16% to 3.02%.   Employee cost increased from 3.40% to 3.56%.   Other expenses rose from 9.15% to 15.64%.   Selling and administration expenses fell from 0.97% to 0.61%.   Freight charges fell from 1.89% to 1.83%.   Other direct service cost rose from 0.87% to 6.07%.   

Other income rose 115.63% to Rs 76.16 crore.  PBIDT rose 9.85% to Rs 707.71 crore.  Provision for interest rose 69.09% to Rs 45.3 crore.  PBDT rose 7.28% to Rs 662.41 crore....
