Agri Buzz: India's Oilmeal exports up marginally in last two months says SEA


The Solvent Extractors’ Association of India has released the export data for export of oilmeals for the month of May, 2025, provisionally reporting it at 315,326 tons compared to 302,280 tons in May 2024 i.e. up by 4%. The overall export of oilmeals during April to May 2025 reported at 781,189 tons compared to 767,436 tons during the same period of last year i.e. marginally up by 1.79%. During Apr.-May 2025, South Korea imported 84,966 tons of oilmeals (compared to 166,583 tons); consisting of 60,856 tons of rapeseed meal, 13,681 tons of castorseed meal and 10,429 tons of soybean meal. China imported 117,388 tons of oilmeals (compared to 4,810 tons); consisting of 113,836 tons of rapeseed meal and 3,552 tons of castorseed meal. Bangladesh sourcing rapeseed meal and soybean meal from India and imported 102,642 tons of oilmeals (compared to 139,006 tons), consisting of 54,762 tons of rapeseed meal and 47,880 tons of soybean meal. Germany and France (European countries) has turned out to be a major importer of Soybean meal from India and imported 58,945 tons and 16,705 tons respectively.
