MCX Morning Wrap: Base metals fall, Nickel tumbles around 2%

Base metals eased today, giving up some of the latest gains amid volatile movement. MCX January 2026 Copper futures are trading at Rs 1302.40 per kg, down 1% on the day. The counter held around Rs 1320 per kg mark in early moves but saw accelerated losses once it broke under Rs 1310 per kg mark. MCX Aluminum futures slipped 0.85% to trade at Rs 314.55 per kg. MCX Zinc futures eased 0.48% to trade at Rs 311.20 per kg. MCX Lead futures fell 0.54% on the day to trade at Rs 192.10 per kg. Nickel tumbled around 2% to trade at Rs 1666 per kg as selling intensified after break under Rs 1700 per kg mark.
