Base Metals Preview: Copper corrects amid tepid US equities

Copper has slipped in Asia amid weak cues from equities as the major US averages closed lower for the fourth straight session. The red metal is down 1.5% at $5.69 per pound. Some selling pressure is evident after strong gains over last few weeks.Copper rose around 40% last year and marked the best annual performance in one and half decades.
