MCX Evening Update: Excellent gains in precious metals

Domestic precious metals saw good gains today amid firm global cues. Gold soared as the US dollar index saw muted moves and treasury yields eased. MCX Gold opened on a very strong note and currently trades at Rs 147217 per 10 grams, up 3.53% on the day. Silver is witnessing a good rebound too as MCX Silver futures approached highs around Rs 237000 per kg. The counter currently trades at Rs 234243 per kg, up 4.6% on the day.
