MCX Evening Update: Precious metals see volatile moves, Gold rebounds above Rs 160000 per 10 grams

Bullion futures are witnessing heavy volatility today. MCX Gold futures are currently trading at Rs 160300 per 10 grams, up marginally on the day after testing lows under Rs 159000 per 10 grams. The counter had started the session steadily but a drop under Rs 160000 per 10 grams had pulled it down. Silver also saw similar action, testing lows around Rs 261000 per kg mark in afternoon before recovering. The counter currently trades at Rs 267381 per kg, down around 0.20% on the day but is well off its intraday low.
