Silver spikes impressively but still down 21% in March

COMEX Silver futures moved up today, witnessing a spurt as Gold and Copper edged up. The US dollar index is steady around 100 mark as war in the Middle East continued to dominate sentiments. COMEX Silver futures rose around 4% to $73.40 per ounce, approaching one-week high as a break above $70 per ounce continued. The white metal is down around 21% for the month of March as a deep slide in first three-weeks of the month is keeping prices well under record highs. Indian demand trends will be in focus now and local traders will also keep a watch on the Indian Rupee which tanked to record low above 95 per US dollar in last session. MCX Silver zoomed up in early moves. The counter opened gap up and is currently trading at Rs 237206 per kg, up 3.60% on the day.
