This order pertains to implementation of BSNL’s optical transport network meant for carrying the traffic of BSNL on PAN India basis.
The scope of work includes design, planning of architecture, engineering, supply, installation & commissioning and system integration of OTN (optical transport network) equipment across India in BSNL (OTN Project), strengthening HFCL’s position as a trusted player for advancing communication infrastructure.
The scope also includes operation and maintenance (O&M) for a period of three years including eight year comprehensive annual maintenance contract (AMC) for which Rs 170.30 crore will be paid by BSNL.
The OTN project has to be executed within 18 months from the date of the purchase order. Following the successful commissioning of the OTN project, a warranty of one year will commence.
Thereafter, the company has to provide O&M services for three years along with comprehensive AMC of eight years which will run concurrently.
HFCL is a technology enterprise with operations in manufacturing of high-end telecom equipment, optical fiber and optical fiber cables and offering communication network solutions for telcos, defence and railways.
The company’s consolidated net profit declined 15.2% to Rs 69.42 crore in Q2 FY24 on 5.3% decrease in net sales to Rs 1,111.49 crore in Q2 FY24 over Q2 FY23.
The scrip hit an all time high of Rs 88.59 in today’s intraday session.
