Information Technology stocks slide

Information Technology stocks were trading with losses, with the BSE Information Technology index decreasing 66.95 points or 0.19% at 34813.4 at 13:41 IST.


Among the components of the BSE Information Technology index, Sasken Technologies Ltd (down 4.58%), Mphasis Ltd (down 2.42%),L&T Technology Services Ltd (down 2.16%),Newgen Software Technologies Ltd (down 1.88%),Ksolves India Ltd (down 1.82%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were HCL Technologies Ltd (down 1.81%), eMudhra Ltd (down 1.71%), Mastek Ltd (down 1.46%), Black Box Ltd (down 0.86%), and Genesys International Corporation Ltd (down 0.81%).

On the other hand, Sonata Software Ltd (up 7.21%), Zensar Technologies Ltd (up 3.11%), and Vakrangee Ltd (up 2.42%) turned up.

At 13:41 IST, the BSE SmallCap was up 220.76 or 0.46% at 48226.38.

The BSE 150 MidCap Index index was up 171.94 points or 1.16% at 14942.83.

The Nifty 50 index was up 295.8 points or 1.23% at 24335.15.

The BSE Sensex index was up 1063.49 points or 1.34% at 80276.02.

On BSE,1994 shares were trading in green, 1916 were trading in red and 201 were unchanged.
