Eicher Motors records 11% YoY rise in March'26 motorcycle sales

Eicher Motors has reported 11% jump in total motorcycle sales to 1,12,334 units in March 2026 from 1,01,021 units in March 2025.

Sales of models with engine capacity upto 350cc added up 97,933 units (up 12% YoY) and that of models with engine capacity exceeding 350cc aggregated to 14,401 units (up 5% YoY). The company’s International Business recorded sales of 11,928 units, down 8% YoY.

This record-breaking performance was driven by sustained demand across both domestic and international markets, supported by a strong and diverse motorcycle portfolio and a growing ecosystem of allied business strengthening overall customer engagement.

On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, the company’s total motorcycle sales jumped 23% YoY to 12,38,659 units as of March 2026.

B. Govindarajan, managing director of Eicher Motors and chief executive officer of Royal Enfield, said, “Every year at Royal Enfield, we try to raise the bar a little higher than before, and this time was no different. We delivered our second consecutive year of over one million motorcycle sales, crossing 1.2 million units, our highest-ever annual performance. Achieving this milestone as we celebrate 125 years of Pure Motorcycling makes it even more meaningful. But in this landmark moment, we are not pausing to look back, instead we are focused on how we can continue to build motorcycles for the current and next generation of riders while remaining grounded in our ethos. This year we also achieved our best-ever festive season sales and highest-ever volumes across both domestic and international markets. Our international business continues to be a focus area and we are deepening our presence in high-potential markets such as Brazil. Equally important is the strength of our riding community, which continues to grow with our rider engagements and festivals expanding significantly across regions. We are also investing in staying ahead of the curve by expanding our manufacturing facility at Cheyyar, which will support future growth while maintaining our focus on quality and efficiency.

As we move into the new financial year and continue our 125th-year journey, we remain focused on the future with new product launches, new platforms and the launch of the Flying Flea C6. Our endeavour is simple: to keep growing in a way that stays true to who we are as we build a global motorcycling brand from India.”

Eicher Motors is the listed parent of Royal Enfield, the global leader in middleweight motorcycles. In addition to motorcycles, Eicher has a joint venture with Sweden's AB Volvo—Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles, which operates in India's commercial vehicle space.

The company reported a 21.38% year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,420.61 crore in Q3 FY26, compared with Rs 1,170.50 crore posted in Q3 FY25. Total revenue from operations surged 22.94% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 6,114.04 crore in the quarter ended 31 December 2025.

Shares of Eicher Motors slipped 2.71% to Rs 6,640.95 on the BSE.
