Mutual Fund AuM rises to Rs 75.35 lakh crore in July'25:AMFI


The net assets under the management (AUM) of the Indian mutual fund industry continued to grow in July 2025, reaching a new high of Rs 75.35 lakh crore, according to data from the Association of Mutual Funds of India (AMFI). This is a 1.28% increase from Rs 74.40 lakh crore at the end of June.

The AUM of open-ended plans increased from Rs 74.14 lakh crore in June 2025 to Rs 75.10 lakh crore in July 2025. Investors continued to be drawn to equity plans in this category, with net inflows of Rs 42,702.35 crore.

Within equity, sectoral/thematic funds drew the most significant inflows in July, attracting Rs 9,426.03 crore. Flexi Cap Funds followed suit with Rs 7,654.33 crore, while equity linked saving schemes (ELSS) saw net outflows of Rs 368.18 crore.

Debt funds witnessed net inflows in July, totaling Rs 1.06 lakh crore. This category had recorded net outflow of Rs 1,711.47 crore in June. Money Market Funds recorded maximum inflows of Rs 44,573.60 crore. Other debt segments like liquid funds, low duration fund and overnight fund also saw significant inflows.

Hybrid schemes, offering a mix of equity and debt exposure, recorded inflows of Rs 20,879.47 crore in July. This was largely driven by arbitrage funds, which attracted Rs 7,295.70 crore.

The systematic investment plan (SIP) contributions reportedly rose to Rs 28,464 crore in July 2025, up by 4% from Rs 27,269 crore recorded in June 2025. The number of contributing SIP accounts also rose from 8.64 crore in June to 9.11 crore in July, marking an addition of 47 lakh accounts.
