'Net
sales (including other operating income) of Astral has increased 3.46% to Rs
1681.4 crore. Sales of Plumbing segment
rose 0.11% to Rs 1,226.60 crore (accounting for 72.95% of total sales). Sales of Paints and Adhesives segment has
gone up 13.73% to Rs 454.80 crore (accounting for 27.05% of total sales).
Profit
before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has slumped 1.47% to Rs
241.20 crore.
PBIT of Plumbing segment
fell 5.04% to Rs 199.80 crore (accounting for 82.84% of total PBIT). PBIT of Paints and Adhesives segment rose
20.35% to Rs 41.40 crore (accounting for 17.16% of total PBIT).
