'Axis Bank
has reported 26% dip in the net profit to Rs 5089.64
crore for the quarter ended September 2025 (Q2FY2026). The bottomline
was impacted due to additional one-time standard asset provision of Rs 1231
crore for two discontinued crop loan variants created on RBI advisory. Further,
the sharp 55% decline in treasury income also weighed up on bottomline.
The bank has posted improved 2% growth in net interest income
(NII), while the core fee income of the bank also improved 10% in Q2FY2026. The
Net Interest Margin (NIM) of the bank declined to 3.73% in Q2FY2026 compared to
3.99% in the corresponding quarter of previous year.
On business front, the bank as has
posted 11% growth in business with 12% surge in loan book. The asset quality of
the bank was stable in Q2FY2026. Bank has raised the credit to deposit ratio to
92.8% at end September 2025 from 92.0% at end September 2024. CASA ratio of the
