Bharat Electronics

Net up 18% largely on higher sales and higher OPM


'Net sales (including other operating income) of Bharat Electronics for the quarter ended Mar 2025 has increased 6.84% to Rs 9149.59 crore.  Operating profit margin has jumped from 26.71% to 30.78%, leading to 23.12% rise in operating profit to Rs 2,816.06 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 51.31% to 49.19%.   Purchase of finished goods cost fell from 2.00% to 1.94%.   Employee cost increased from 7.17% to 8.51%.   Other expenses fell from 13.81% to 9.09%.   

Other income fell 13.66% to Rs 194.64 crore.  PBIDT rose 19.82% to Rs 3010.7 crore.  Provision for interest rose 44.69% to Rs 5.86 crore.   PBDT rose 19.78% to Rs 3004.84 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 16.06% to Rs 137.58 crore.   Profit before tax grew 19.97% to Rs 2,867.26 crore.  Share of profit/loss was 45.41% lower at Rs 6.01 crore.  ...
