OPM down by 24 bps


'For quarter ended March 2023, standalone Net sales (including other operating income) of Bharat Seats has increased 12.45% to Rs 293.43 crore compared to quarter ended Mar 2022.  Operating profit margin has declined from 5.24% to 5%, leading to 7.24% rise in operating profit to Rs 14.66 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 85.32% to 85.74%.   Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 0.02% to 0.12%.   Employee cost decreased from 3.71% to 3.40%.   Other expenses rose from 5.68% to 5.74%.   

Other income fell 2.17% to Rs 1.35 crore.  PBIDT rose 6.38% to Rs 16.01 crore.  Provision for interest up 37.21% to Rs 1.18 crore.  Loan funds rose to Rs 65.73 crore as of 31 March 2023 from Rs 38.93 crore as of 31 March 2022.  Inventories declined from Rs 52.99 crore as of 31 March 2022 to Rs 28.84 crore as of 31 March 2023. &n...
