Bharat Seats

OPM jumped by 95 bps


'For quarter ended June 2023, standalone Net sales (including other operating income) of Bharat Seats has increased 2.04% to Rs 252.75 crore compared to quarter ended June 2022.  Operating profit margin has jumped from 3.83% to 4.78%, leading to 27.40% rise in operating profit to Rs 12.09 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 86.73% to 84.00%.   Employee cost increased from 4.19% to 4.41%.   Other expenses rose from 5.24% to 6.80%.   

Other income up 220.59% to Rs 1.09 crore.  PBIDT rose 34.08% to Rs 13.18 crore.  Provision for interest up 94.37% to Rs 1.38 crore.  

PBDT rose 29.39% to Rs 11.8 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 24.65% to Rs 5.41 crore.  

Profit before tax grew 33.68% to Rs 6.39 crore.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 1.72 crore, compared to Rs 1.22 crore.  Effective...
