Canara Bank

Targeting loan growth of 10-11% and RoA of 1.05%, margins to remain at 2.7-2.8% for FY2026


'Canara Bank conducted a conference call on 08 May 2025 to discuss its financial results for the quarter ended March 2025. K. Satyanarayana Raju, MD&CEO of the bank addressed the call:

Highlights:

The bank has recorded 11% growth in business volumes to Rs 25.56 lakh crore at end March 2025. Deposits increased 11% to Rs 14.56 lakh crore against the target of 9%, while the advances moved up 12% to Rs 10.73 lakh crore against the guidance of 10%.

For the first time, the bank has crossed the operating profit level of Rs 8000 crore and net profit of Rs 5000 crore on quarterly basis in Q4FY2025.

The bank has exhibited sharp improvement in the provision coverage ratio to 92.7% at end March 2025.

The gross NPA has reduced to less than 3% to 2.94% against the guidance of 3.5% and net NPA ratio has dropped to 0.7% against the guidance of 1.1% for FY2025.

The retail, agriculture and MSME loan Book has increased 13% ...
