CSB Bank

Fresh slippages and provisions jump


'CSB Bank has reported moderate 1% growth in net profit at Rs 152.67 crore for the quarter ended December 2025 (Q3FY2026). Net Interest Income (NII) increased 21% while the core fee income of the bank also improved 29% in Q3FY2026. The Net Interest Margin (NIM) of the bank rose on sequential basis to 3.86% in Q3FY2026 from 3.81% in Q2FY26, while remained lower compared to 4.11% in the corresponding quarter of previous year.

On business front, the business growth moderated to 25% at end December 2025 from 27% at end September 2025. The loan book growth has remained healthy at 29%. CASA ratio of the bank has declined to 20.6% at end December 2025 from 24.1% at end December 2024.

NII growth improves on healthy loan growth: Interest income increased 26% to Rs 1154.23 crore, while interest expenses moved up 29% to Rs 701.04 crore in Q3FY2026. NII improved 21% to Rs 453.19 crore in Q3FY2026.
