Net sales (including other operating income) of Gillette India has increased 12.74% to Rs 767.47 crore. Sales of Grooming segment has gone up 15.57% to Rs 644.57 crore (accounting for 83.99% of total sales). Sales of Oral Care segment fell 0.11% to Rs 122.90 crore (accounting for 16.01% of total sales).
Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 41.75% to Rs 199.52 crore. PBIT of Grooming segment rose 48.10% to Rs 176.67 crore (accounting for 88.55% of total PBIT). PBIT of Oral Care segment rose 6.48% to Rs 22.85 crore (accounting for 11.45% of total PBIT).
PBIT margin of Grooming segment rose from 21.39% to 27.41%. PBIT margin of Oral Care segment rose from 17.44% to 18.59%. Overall PBIT margin rose from 20.68% to 26.00%.
