Net sales (including other operating income) of Gillette India has increased 15.24% to Rs 790.00 crore. Sales of Grooming segment has gone up 13.39% to Rs 647.06 crore (accounting for 81.91% of total sales). Sales of Oral Care segment rose 24.39% to Rs 142.94 crore (accounting for 18.09% of total sales).
Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 37.65% to Rs 224.68 crore. PBIT of Grooming segment rose 66.37% to Rs 207.10 crore (accounting for 92.18% of total PBIT). PBIT of Oral Care segment fell 54.63% to Rs 17.58 crore (accounting for 7.82% of total PBIT).
PBIT margin of Grooming segment rose from 21.81% to 32.01%. PBIT margin of Oral Care segment fell from 33.72% to 12.30%. Overall PBIT margin rose from 23.81% to 28.44%.
