ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company

Net profit jumps 29% on strong investment income


'ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company has posted strong 29% jump in the net profit to Rs 747.08 crore in the quarter ended June 2025 (Q1FY2026). PBT improved 28% to Rs 993.71 crore in Q1FY2026 as against Rs 773.99 crore in Q1FY2025.

Gross Direct Premium Income (GDPI) of the Company was at Rs 7735 crore in Q1FY2026 as against Rs 7688 crore in Q1FY2025, a growth of 1%, compared to the industry growth of 9%. Excluding the impact of 1/n accounting norm, GDPI of the Company grew by 4.8% for Q1 FY2026, as against the industry growth of 12.8%.

The operating profit of the company increased 30% to Rs 654.13 crore in Q1FY2026, driven by 47% jump in the profit from motor segment to Rs 549.50 crore and miscellaneous segment by 72% to Rs 80.55 crore..
