'Jindal steel net sales (including other
operating income) of Jindal Steel has increased 4.21% to Rs 11685.88 crore. Production
and sales for the quarter stood at 2.00 MT (-5% QoQ) and 1.87 MT (-2% QoQ)
respectively. Share of exports increased to 10% in Q2FY26 from 7% in Q1FY26.
The share of VAS (value-added steel) reached an all-time high of 73% in Q2FY26.
Operating profit margin has declined from
19.62% to 17.81%, leading to 5.41% decline in operating profit to Rs 2,081.12
crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments)
increased from 41.75% to 43.74%. Purchase of finished goods cost rose from
2.47% to 3.38%. Employee cost increased from 2.53% to 2.66%. Other expenses
fell from 33.02% to 33.01%. Preoperation capitalised expenses fell from 0.62%
to 0.50%. 
Other income fell 37.01% to Rs 21.94 crore.
PBIDT fell 5.91% to Rs 2103.06 crore. Provision for interest rose 13.94% to Rs
