Bottomline turns red as sales crash by 58%


'Standalone net sales (including other operating income) of John Cockerill India for the quarter ended Jun 2024 has declined 57.82% to Rs 93.29 crore.  Operating profit margin has declined from 3.25% to 0.61%, leading to 92.07% decline in operating profit to Rs 0.57 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 73.24% to 59.19%.   Employee cost increased from 7.76% to 17.05%.   Other expenses rose from 15.74% to 23.15%.   

Other income up 119.12% to Rs 1.49 crore.  PBIDT fell 73.82% to Rs 2.06 crore.  Provision for interest fell 28.38% to Rs 0.53 crore.  Loan funds remained nil.  

PBDT fell 78.54% to Rs 1.53 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 15.67% to Rs 1.55 crore.  

Profit before tax reported loss of Rs 0.02 crore compared to profit of Rs 5.79 crore.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 0.01 crore, comp...
