Sales down 3%, net down 48%

Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of JSW Energy for the quarter ended June 2023 has declined 3.25% to Rs 2927.85 crore as the incremental revenue from Mytrah and renewable capacity additions was offset by lower realization in thermal assets on account of decline in coal prices (which are pass through in nature).

Net generation during the quarter stands at 6,699 MUs, up 14% YoY on back of contribution from new assets like Mytrah and RE capacity additions. Total Long Term sales1 in the quarter increased 18% YoY due to higher LT generation at Ratnagiri and contribution from RE portfolio while Short Term sales decreased 5% YoY in the quarter. 

Operating profit margin has jumped from 33.77% to 41.74%, leading to 19.58% rise in operating profit to Rs 1,222.08 crore.  Purchase of finished goods cost fell from 6.92% to 0.44%.   Employee cost increased from 1.98% to 3.13%.   Other ...
