Sales down 37%, net down 80%


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of LMW for the quarter ended Dec 2024 has declined 36.87% to Rs 766.43 crore.  Operating profit margin has declined from 9.62% to 4.67%, leading to 69.39% decline in operating profit to Rs 35.76 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 63.36% to 60.15%.   Employee cost increased from 8.44% to 12.71%.   Other expenses rose from 18.65% to 22.26%.   

Other income rose 3.65% to Rs 32.96 crore.  PBIDT fell 53.76% to Rs 68.72 crore.  Provision for interest remained nil.  PBDT fell 53.76% to Rs 68.72 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 23.56% to Rs 28.84 crore.  Profit before tax down 68.16% to Rs 39.88 crore.  Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 20.58 crore, compared to Rs 26.5 crore.  Effective tax rate was 51...
