Net down 6% on weak operating show

Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of NHPC for the quarter ended Dec 2021  has declined 8.60% to Rs 2156.72 crore.  Operating profit margin (OPM) has turned from positive 44.38% to negative 3.71%, Operating profit for the quarter stood loss of Rs 79.91 crore compared to profit of Rs 1,047.18 crore.  Employee cost decreased from 17.65% to 16.40%.   Other expenses fell from 24.54% to 21.91%.   Power and Oil fuel cost rose from 5.08% to 6.01%.   Other income fell 13.55% to Rs 217 crore.  PBIDT fell 89.44% to Rs 137.09 crore.  Provision for interest fell 8% to Rs 130.45 crore.  PBDT fell 99.43% to Rs 6.64 crore.  Provision for depreciation fell 14.18% to Rs 302.54 crore.  Profit before tax reported loss of Rs 295.90 crore compared to profit of Rs 803.87 crore.  Share of profit/loss was 2,183.33% higher at Rs 1.37 crore.  Provision f...
