Nippon Life India Asset Management

AUM jumps 20%


'Nippon Life India Asset Management has posted 4% decline in the net profit to Rs 344.64 crore in the quarter ended September 2025 (Q2FY2026).The income from operation increased 15.20% to Rs 658.12 crore in Q2FY2026. Overall OPM eased to 65.27% in Q2FY2026 from 65.53% in Q2FY2025, leading to 14.74% rise in operating profit to Rs 429.54 crore. Other expenditure as a percentage of total income moved up to 16% from 15.76% in Q2FY2026. The staff cost as a percentage of total income increased to 18.73% from 18.71% in Q2FY2026.

Other income declined 69.71% to Rs 36.59 crore. Interest cost increased 8.43% to Rs 1.8 crore. Depreciation moved up 18.71% to Rs 8.82 crore. PBT declined 6.28% to Rs 455.51 crore.

The effective tax rate declined to 24.43% in Q2FY2026 compared to 25.94% in Q2FY2025. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 111.26 crore, compared to Rs 126.07 crore. Profit after tax fell 4.37% to Rs 344.25 crore.
