'Net
sales (including other operating income) of NMDC has increased 29.67% to Rs
6378.11 crore. Sales of Iron Ore segment
has gone up 12.38% to Rs 5,336.91 crore (accounting for 83.58% of total sales). Sales of Peliet,Other Minerals & Services
segment has gone up 426.75% to Rs 1,048.55 crore (accounting for 16.42% of
total sales). Inter-segment sales came
down from Rs 29.19 crore to Rs 7.35 crore.
Profit
before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 43.85% to Rs
2,092.45 crore.
PBIT of Iron Ore segment
rose 26.87% to Rs 2,024.65 crore (accounting for 96.76% of total PBIT). PBIT of Peliet,Other Minerals & Services
reported profit of Rs 67.80 crore compared to loss of Rs 141.32 crore.
