SBFC Finance

AUM up 29%, margins improves


'SBFC Finance has posted 30% increase in the net profit to Rs 109.14 crore in the quarter ended September 2025 (Q2FY2026). The income from operation of SBFC Finance increased 31% to Rs 410.78 crore in Q2FY2026. Overall OPM has increased to 75.63% in Q2FY2026 from 74.23% in Q2FY2025, leading to 33% rise in operating profit to Rs 310.66 crore in Q2FY2026.

Other income declined to Rs 0.22 crore from Rs 0.30 crore in Q2FY25. Interest cost increased 28% to Rs 128.96 crore. Provisions surged 63% to Rs 30.95 crore. Depreciation moved up 32% to Rs 5.08 crore. PBT moved up 32% to Rs 145.89 crore.

The effective tax rate rose to 25.2% in Q2FY2026 compared to 23.7% in Q2FY2025. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 36.75 crore, compared to Rs 26.15 crore. Profit after tax jumped 30% to Rs 109.14 crore.

Book value of the company on a consolidated basis stood at Rs 31.4 per share at end September 2025. The adjusted book value increased...
