Shanthi Gears

Net down 16% on weak operating show


'Standalone net sales (including other operating income) of Shanthi Gears for the quarter ended Sep 2025 has declined 14.94% to Rs 131.91 crore.  Operating profit margin has declined from 22.03% to 20.10%, leading to 22.37% decline in operating profit to Rs 26.52 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 48.01% to 46.97%.   Employee cost increased from 13.60% to 15.70%.   Other expenses rose from 16.55% to 17.08%.   

Other income up 76.26% to Rs 5.94 crore.  PBIDT fell 13.51% to Rs 32.46 crore.  Provision for interest remained nil.  PBDT fell 13.51% to Rs 32.46 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 17.03% to Rs 3.78 crore.  Profit before tax down 16.38% to Rs 28.68 crore.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 7.17 crore, compared to Rs 8.67 crore.  Effective tax rate was 25.00% compared to 25.28%.
