'

Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Tata Steel has declined 7.01% to Rs 55681.93 crore. Operating profit margin has declined from 10.12% to 7.66%, leading to 29.58% decline in operating profit to Rs 4,267.82 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 46.63% to 37.27%.   Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 5.49% to 8.51%.   Employee cost increased from 8.92% to 10.77%.   Other expenses rose from 28.79% to 35.67%. 

Other income fell 30.68% to Rs 228.23 crore.  PBIDT fell 29.63% to Rs 4496.05 crore.  Provision for interest rose 28.99% to Rs 1959.39 crore. 

PBDT fell 47.92% to Rs 2536.66 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 5.62% to Rs 2479.85 crore.   

Profit before tax down 97.75% to Rs 56.81 crore.  Share of profit/loss was 1.02% higher at Rs 102.9 crore.  Extraordinary items were decreased to Rs -6,8...
