Transrail Lighting

Net up 27% on higher sales


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Transrail Lighting for the quarter ended Mar 2025 has increased 39.76% to Rs 1946.02 crore.  Sales of   India segment has gone up 72.71% to Rs 670.99 crore (accounting for 35.19% of total sales).  Sales of Outside India segment has gone up 25.55% to Rs 1,235.65 crore (accounting for 64.81% of total sales).  

Operating profit margin has declined from 12.86% to 12.13%, leading to 31.79% rise in operating profit to Rs 236.04 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 50.25% to 47.66%.   Employee cost decreased from 4.16% to 3.76%.   Other expenses rose from 32.31% to 36.25%.   Expenses from contract rose from 16.71% to 19.82%.   

Other income fell 39.98% to Rs 14.65 crore.  PBIDT rose 23.18% to Rs 250.69 crore.  Provision for interest rose 44.24% to Rs 59.11 crore.  &...
