Universal Cables

Net jumps 489% largely on good operating show and higher profit from associates


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Universal Cables for the quarter ended Jun 2025 has increased 22.81% to Rs 600.19 crore.  Operating profit margin has jumped from 6.49% to 9.63%, leading to 82.19% rise in operating profit to Rs 57.81 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 73.36% to 67.44%.   Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 4.87% to 6.48%.   Employee cost increased from 4.36% to 4.39%.   Other expenses rose from 11.84% to 12.75%.   

Other income fell 21.64% to Rs 2.39 crore.  PBIDT rose 73.09% to Rs 60.2 crore.  Provision for interest fell 6.51% to Rs 24.13 crore.  

PBDT rose 302.12% to Rs 36.07 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 25.70% to Rs 8.56 crore.  

Profit before tax grew 1,173.61% to Rs 27.51 crore.  Share of profit/loss was 192.50% higher at Rs 17.93 cr...
