Superior performance in Q2


'Net sales (including other operating income) of UPL has increased 8.38% to Rs 12019 crore.  Sales of Non Agro segment has gone up 9.35% to Rs 655.00 crore (accounting for 5.43% of total sales).  Sales of Crop Protection segment rose 3.05% to Rs 9,736.00 crore (accounting for 80.68% of total sales).  Sales of Seeds Business segment has gone up 50.58% to Rs 1,676.00 crore (accounting for 13.89% of total sales).  Inter-segment sales came down from Rs 70.00 crore to Rs 48.00 crore. 

Revenue growth for UPL was driven primarily by higher volumes, supported by favorable foreign exchange movements. On a platform basis, UPL Corp delivered strong growth of 12%, while Advanta posted an impressive 26% increase, both led by higher volumes.
