Net down 98% on weak operating show


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of WPIL for the quarter ended Mar 2025 has declined 3.30% to Rs 571.87 crore.  Operating profit margin has declined from 17.29% to 13.97%, leading to 21.86% decline in operating profit to Rs 79.91 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 22.03% to 28.18%.   Employee cost increased from 7.92% to 10.71%.   Other expenses fell from 53.62% to 46.68%.   Contract job process charges fell from 42.87% to 33.56%.   Other income fell 45.96% to Rs 5.75 crore.  PBIDT fell 24.13% to Rs 85.66 crore.  Provision for interest rose 65.66% to Rs 11.53 crore.  PBDT fell 30.03% to Rs 74.13 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 18.15% to Rs 9.44 crore.  Profit before tax down 33.96% to Rs 64.69 crore.  Share of profit/loss was 94.63% lower at Rs 0.08 crore.  Provision for tax was e...
