Bharat Heavy Electricals

Sales down 1%, net turns red


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Bharat Heavy Electricals for the quarter ended Sep 2023 has declined 1.49% to Rs 5125.29 crore.  


Operating profit margin has declined from negative 4.69% to negative 7.56%, leading to 58.95% decline in operating profit to Rs -387.71 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 24.42% to 28.90%.   Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 18.54% to 23.12%.   Employee cost decreased from 27.13% to 23.43%.   Other expenses fell from 34.57% to 31.64%.   Stores consumed for sales fell from 2.49% to 1.51%.   Contract job process charges fell from 25.61% to 20.60%.   

Other income fell 16.69% to Rs 180.09 crore.  PBIDT fell 648.18% to Rs 207.62 crore.  Provision for interest rose 46.39% to Rs 180.41 crore.   PBDT fell 156.99% to Rs 388.03 crore.  P...
